Well i just recently hurt my index finger and it swelled really big. Someone told me to ice it for a while then go back and forth between hot and cold water just soaking it. The swelling didn't go down until the next day but it was better than expected and it helped the pain. I don't know if that has any medical truth behind it but it is worth a try.

Take a bag of frozen veggies and put it on your pinky for a while. Keep it above your heart to reduce swelling. If it doesn't stop swelling after a few more hours, see a doctor.

Ice it for the first few hours, and tape it to your ring finger with medical tape for support. See your doctor as soon as you can to find out if it's broken or not.
