Republicans represent big business, Democrats support special interest groups.
The average American needs to become more politically involved. Start a letter writing campaign to your Congressman (or Congresswoman) or your Senator. Let them know that citizens will not be bamboozled any longer.

Eight(8) million Americans have not had an increase in the minimum wage since 1997! The Government wants to raise it by 2010 to $7.25! The actual increase amounts to 17.6cents an hour! Are we suppose to be grateful for waiting 12yrs for this increase? 1997=$5.15 2010=$7.25 DO THE MATH! Would you work 12yrs for a 17.6cent increase in your pay? Thanks for nothing! Only in America do we get shafted by our Senators and Representatives! May God have mercy on them! They want to keep us in poverty another 12yrs!!!

NEVER!! They have never taken a vested interest of those that put them there, they only say what Americans want to hear until they're in office and then do whatever is in their own best interested!! If they started using the publics best interest, then why would we be in Iraq still???
