i want to know if a dell laptop for $449.95 is it worth it or is too much. the laptop processor is intel pentium 4 1.6 ghz windows xp, hard drive 20.0gb, system memory 128 mb, graphics 14.1 tft color screen, cd rom included, communications 56 fax/ data/modem, slots i,ii,iii, battery rechargeable li-ion battery, dimensions 1.5''h*12.5''w*10d power ac adapter included.

Well, if you want to use it for the ABSOLUTE basics, it will be ok.
But that is a waste of money. Get a desktop for the same price that is much better. If you want a laptop, you'll need a bit more money.
That laptop wont be able to do most stuff. It already is outdated by years. If you want a lasting laptop, get a better one. You can get many well within 1000 US $s.

'Supply and Demand' set the prices on everything. If that is the only laptop that you can get with a good service agreement or a good training program then you should go ahead and buy it. If you can get something better in your local area then you should not buy it. Make sure you shop around before making such an important decision.

hey im looking for a laptop to would you mind telling me what that laptop is called becuse im looking for one hopfully under 500. plus that sound like a really good laptop but im dont know much about laptops lol but it look good from the info uv giving and i think thats a good price just wish the were a smaller number lol

To me the biggest issue with laptops are repairs. Buy one where you can take it in locally to get repaired. I think Dell requires you to send the laptop away to be repaired, so for that reason I wouldn't buy a Dell.

intel pentium i not even give that house room go for AMD setup
hard drive 20.0gb, system memory 128 mb that is a rip off you can buy a computer with 200gb hard drive and 512mbr for $470 now

i wouldnt give that much for those specs ...those are god-awful ... try newegg.com and for 100-150 more u could get one 3 times as good ..
