I don't have a problem with Hilliary Clinton, I think she would make a good President. It also would send a clear message to Muslims, that in America a woman can hold the highest office in the land and be an inspiration for marginalized women all over the world.

According to the Constitution it doesn't matter. It seems to matter to the voters, a lot! Lame reasoning is the answer. A woman or a black are just as capable of being President as any white man. Either might be better than what we have now! When you vote you have no guarantee that the person elected is really the person you thought got your vote. Jimmy Carter is the only person who was exactly as he presented himself & people thought he was not good enough for a 2nd term. Not forceful enough! How do you like force now?

It doesn't but you cant deny the fact that America has been dealing with gender and race bias from the very beginning. Our country was built on these issues. This election will be very interesting because its going to expose a lot of issues that many Americans thought we dealt with back in the 60's and 70's with the civil rights and woman's rights movements.

Many people are closed-minded, and believe only people of a certain race and/or gender can do a good job as President. They are often afraid anyone 'different' won't be looking out for their interests.

I don't think that it matters. But, it will be a historic moment to say the least! Ultimately, in my mind, what matters most is does the person have concrete strategies for making our country stronger and better. I don't care what your race, gender, religion, sexual preference. I want to know what you can do for our country - and more importantly, I want to know HOW you intend to do it.

It does not matter to me. But the so-called Bible Belt south will never vote a woman or a black man. Look at what my state Tennessee did. They voted a man that hired illegals for the Senate. They ran the dirtiest campaign against a black man. Ran a ad with a white girl in it to make the rednecks mad and vote a crook in.

It doesn't.

What matters is where they stand on the issues important to the voters.

It doesn't, other than the fact that we have never elected a woman president.... that would be a pretty big deal.
