Wal Mart has a way of evading responsibility for personal injury.
Their number is 1-800-WALMART, anyway.

Once that woman got trampled in their store rushing for a $30 DVD player. Instead of offering her a free DVD player they said they would hold one for her to buy when she got out of the hospital.

Once I stepped on a screw in their parking lot and my foot was bleeding and they wouldn't get a manager for me. They kept stalling it then my foot stopped bleeding and I got sick of waiting and went home.

Have you recorded time, date and place? Do you have a witness to the event? Did you record the truck/trailer numbers? Did you file a police report? Do you have the rock that punctured your radiator and can it be matched to the damage? Did you log a claim with your insurance company within 24 hours? Were you traveling a common route that is routinely traveled by these trucks? Many times drivers allow insult to prohibit lucid reasoning and evidence gathering to cloud actual events . This kneejerk REACTION has no place on the ROAD.

Wal Mart probably pays the Trucker $7.00 an hour. Don't get the poor man fired for a rock that was on the road. You may have run over a rock and hit someone elses car. What goes around comes back hard.

it is an unfortunate accident, but even the retailing giant wal mart is not liable for road debris thrown up by their trucks. if a part fell off of the truck and caused you damage then you would have a case. but a rock? it is not any drivers responsibility to clean the roads before they drive on them. what would you say if i followed you home and said a pebble that your truck kicked up broke my headlight, and that i want you to give me 400 bucks for a new one? unless you are crazy youd tell me to get lost. that is what comprehensive coverage is for. if you dont have comp, or if the damage is less than your deductable, tough. next time stay back further from the car or truck in front of you.

if you feel that wal mart needs to know that you have a damaged radiator, then by all means, go to a wal mart store, drive around back and copy the phone number off of one of the trailers being unloaded around back. they all have a phone number and an id number.

You can call their safety department of their transportation division. Did you get the truck # and plate off trailer. It will be hard for you to get any trucking company to pay for a rock thrown since they are gonna tell you it could have come from anywhere. You insurance should pick it up under comprehensive.

I've talk to my insurance company about a similar accident. They say you will hard time proving it. And something else to consider. They give a certain amount of leeway in cases like that. But ask around.

i don't know if they are responsible for any repairs, but if you have comprehensive insurance, it should cover it (kind of like hitting a deer).
