why are you not supposed to......?

vaccum or mop when your preg ? I did with my first and he's fine? If I dont do it who is?

That's definately a new one. Someone must be trying to get out of doing any housework to come up with that one! The only things I've heard about are that you arent supposed to reach over your head, cuz it can cause the cord to wrap around the baby's neck.

I don't know where you heard that but with my first child I did everything vacuum, mop, laundry, etc.. and she is fine. I am now almost 20 weeks pregnant with our second child and continue to do all of the above plus carry my 32 pound toddler! I think that you probably just need to use your own judgment about cleaning products you use (read the labels about using them in ventilated areas, etc...) and be careful how you pull and tug on things!

You're supposed to take it easy and rest during those activities.....they pull on your ab muscles and can strain them. But not being able to do them....never heard that one! But I still don't when I am pregnant....but then again my husband isn't a lazy bum, so he does it. Good Luck though.....go easy and rest and things would be fine.

I never heard anyone say it'd be bad to do those things.. but i suppose it might be because of the straining you might do when pushing them.

i've never heard that in a normal pregnancy....my mom was told to stay in bed as much as possible but she had complications....where are you getting your info? when in doubt ask your doctor, i always had a list of things to ask at my prenatal visits : )
