It's a volume measurement. A liter is 1000 ml, or 1000 cubic centimeters. A cubic meter is 1000 L.

The abbreviation m^3 stands for meters cubed, or cubic meters.
The cubic meters is the SI unit of volume.

1 Liter is also a unit of volume (it is just not the SI unit of volume.
1 Liter = 1000 mL = 1000 centimeters cubed = 1000 cm^3.
1 decameter = 10 cm. 1 dm^3 = 1 dm * 1 dm * 1 dm = 10 cm * 10 cm * 10 cm = 1000 cm.
So 1 Liter equals 1 decameter cubed = 1 dm^3.

Again, m^3 and cm^3 are units of volume.
g^3 has virtually no physical meaning since it would cubic grams (grams being a unit of mass).
c^3 would depend on what you are assuming c is an abbreviation for. c often denotes the speed of light in a vacuum (about 3 E8 m/s), so c^3 would be about 27 E24 (m/s)^3, again with virtually no physical meaning.
