Well, I was on a website that said turn on your gameboy with no pak in the slot, and then insert the wireless adapter after GAMEBOY appears but before NINTENDO appears ( doing it with 4 other friends ). Then, NINTENDO appears in gold. If anybody did this, please tell me what this does to your GAMEBOY. No stupid answers, please.

Well, I have the MYSTERY GIFT on Emerald, Sapphire, and LeafGreen. But, I'll go with you 2 guys' advice. Me and my friend had the WHOLE thing planned out with the wireless adapter and 3 other people. I'll have to tell her.

I am sorry to say it sounds like a really silly rumor to me.

Think about it.

How many games magazines/sites (and fellow game enthusiasts) etc... are around. Don't you think such a phenomenon would be common knowledge if it were true?

Yup, sounds like a rumor. The only mystery gift I did was with pokemon paks and with the Go! Pikachu tamagochi thing.

I didn't know you could even DO mystery gift without a game in the slot. I'm pretty sure that the mystery gift is a feature with the game. =/
