Yes, it is called implantation bleeding and it can resemble a period. Although in some cases some small percentage have a period through their entire pregnancy.

A lot of people I've heard about were on the pill and got pregnant but still had their periods (although, of course, these aren't 'real' periods anyway.)

i still had mine the first 2 months i was pregnant. i didnt even know till i was 3 months along.
