I am most concerned about the electronic voting machines - especially Deibold - that have no paper trail and are open to fraud and abuse. We've already had two questionable presidential election results (Florida, 2000 and Ohio, 2004); I don't want to see another one like either of those.

I am worried about North Korea and the war in Iraq. I don't think we are paying enough attention to NK BECAUSE of the war in Iraq. I am hoping for a President that WILL make a difference, I don't care about gender or race. I don't know about having a Democrat run nation...I don't that one party should hold that much power regardless of WHAT party. People need to realize that it us going to take people from BOTH sides to fix this country. I hope Giuliani (sp?) runs, he'd most likely get my vote. For the past several elections it's been about voting for the lessor of two evils, I hope that in the next election I can choose between good and better, not worst and less worse...
To the person that answered first, we all need to be concerned about the future of this country and it's not smart to think otherwise. If we can't be prepared and get educated before we have to pick then what is the point?

I would vote for a women, but not Hillary Clinton. I'd also vote for an African-American as well. I'm not overly worried about North Korea (I actually live in South Korea) as they are more talk then anything. I would enjoy it if we had a president and congress that were both Democrats. I'm not sure who will be the next president or vice-president, but I hope it's better then the trash we have now.

That there are people out there actually considering voting for Newt. Run for the hills!!!
Really? Oh ok..well The war in Iraq, I want to get our troops out of there!! Healthcare would be really nice to have for everyone based on on household size and income. I think if the presidential; race was between a woman and an african american, the woman would win. If we had a democratic everything I think this country would once again turn around for the positive.

My main concern is affordable, good quality healthcare. I also am concerned about this country in general and the people who live here and who run this country. Will the next person care more about the poorest people of this country(places like the 9th ward in New Orleans, etc). There are a lot of important issues in the upcoming elections but things will greatly improve with the democrats controlling everything (FINALLY)!!!!! and about the gender/race issue Yes, I like BOTH ideas-what difference does either really make though if the person is tuely qualified and interested in getting us out of the past 8 yr. mess!!!!!!!!!!!!

My biggest concern is the amount of money that is going to be spent to get elected. No one ,Demo.or Rep. can be free of special interest control. My other concern is the outside chance of Hillary getting elected She'll sell America down the river with her comrades in congress.

What concerns me most is that its nearly 2 years away and everyone is already talking about it non-stop. America has become a country of non-stop political junkies focused only on the elections and not on the issues.
