Wayne Gretzky scored 51 in 1979-80, at the age of 18 (or 19 when the season ended). Jimmy Carson had 55 for the Kings in 1987-88, at the age of 19.
Bobom - Ovechkin was 20 at the beginning of last season, so he obviously couldn't have scored 50 as a teen. And Selanne didn't even come to the NHL as a teenager.
