My period was due 3 days ago (Jan.22). My breast are not sore or tender but having on and off cramping (not too painful) in my lower abdomen. I was sick last week with acute bronchitis and was on anitibotics? Could I be prego? Or my illness and anitibotics can cause a delay on my cycle?
(Serious answers please! I'm not with the BS)

Were you trying to get pregnant? I only ask because if you weren't and you were on the pill sometimes certain antibiotics can make birth control pills not work and you can get pregnant. Either way if you don't get your period sometime in the next week take a test, just because you aren't feeling symptoms doesn't mean you aren't pregnant.

Well if you are on birth control, antibiotics will counteract with those and could cause a delay in your period if your body is used to the birth control. I suggest giving you doctor a call he or she can give you a better answer than yahoo. Good luck though!

I dont think that you are pregnant but you should go ahead and see your doctor. I dont like the over the counter pregnancy tests because i took 4 tests and they said that i wasnt pregnant and i went to see my doc, and he said otherwise! So ask your doctor because if you are, those antibiotics could harm the baby! So best thing to do is go ahead and call your doctor, make an appointment and go in and check it out! Good Luck! Your cycle could be delayed due to illness or pregnancy or any number of things.
Just take a test, better safe than sorry. (Afterall some antibiotics and drugs are not safe during pregnancy)

Stress from illness can delay it but maybe you are just off on your calculations. My breasts are not sore either but I am pregnant.

the medication could cause your cycle to be late but to be safe you should get a home pregnancy test

i wouldn't say it isn't possible but you shuld get a pregnancy test. try to think if you've been uncareful or unsafe. find out asap. althugh symptoms dont always show up that soon. rather be safe than sorry.
