FALSE. BUT GM AND TOYOTA DO WORK TOGETHER ALL THE TIME. GEOS (PRISM, METRO, TRACKER) WERE TOYOTAS. THE TOYOTA MATRIX IS A PONTIAC VIBE, ETC. IN FACT IN AUSTRALIA THEY SOLD A TOYOTA CAVILER.
GM WAS IN TALKS TO MERGE WITH NISSAN, BUT I GUESS THAT FELL THRU.
GM OWNS SAAB, ISUZU, SUZUKI, DAEWOO, AND OPEL OVERSEAS. THATS IT, UNLESS I'M MISSING ONE.
FORD OWNS VOLVO AND MAZDA, LAND ROVER AND JAGUAR. THE FORD FESTIVA WAS BUILT BY KIA, BUT NO RELATIONS WITH TOYOTA OR HONDA.
CHRYSLER DOES HAVE A VESTED INTEREST IN HYUNDAI, ABOUT THE SAME AS VW HAS IN PORSCHE.
SO, STILL, ITS 100% FALSE. EVERYONE WORKS TOGETHER SOME BUT OWNERSHIP IS SEPERATE.

They are wrong. Toyota is there own company. Maybe they got confused with the news. Recently, they said that toyota is the Second largest company in the world and it knocked ford out of 2nd place. Chevy is the 1st largest and toyota is 2nd and Ford is 3rd.

Toyota is still it's original self. Becoming the biggest motor company, ahead of General Motors. There was talk of Ford merging with Toyota to improve Ford line - but, just recently, Toyota has had some internal scandals with their executives & now on their second major recall. Don't know if the merger will go through.

no longer probable that lots distinction. each little thing is to NASCAR's specs so there is no longer lots room for the suitable and the worst, there is exceedingly lots an equality around the board. some communities get additional money spent on their vehicles because of the fact of success or sponsership money and get particular interest to confirm they are in spectacular situation. yet that occurs between different vehicles owned by skill of a similar proprietor, and there is no longer a extensive distinction there the two. With the diferent manufacturers, there is no longer in many situations that lots of a distinction different than like with communities. Toyota is the maximum recent manufacture and could take a together as to learn attractiveness mandatory to get additional money mandatory to have greater desirable vehicles and greater importantly greater desirable drivers. comparable with ward off some years in the past, they have been undesirable for a pair years and are beginning as much as carry their very own a week. So, i for my section do no longer see that great of a distinction around the board. a splash greater desirable scientific care of equipment, however the motive force is the biggest factor. And the style would be much greater magnified because of the fact the COT's are much greater equivalent than the vehicles earlier.

They are seperate companies but General Motors and Toyota have agreements in place and they work together on certain projects.
The Chevy Prizm is a Toyota Corrola, and they have a couple other styles that are built in the same Production Center

Toyota is very much their own company, but they do have a joint venture with General Motors. They used to build the Corollas and Geo Prizms together in Fremont, CA. Now they build the Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe in that plant. I own a Vibe and love it.

hi no Toyota is a self owned company and it has also a huge cash overflow budget and it can spend 3 times what it is spending for reaserch so Toyota does not need any merge or to be bought by any other manufacturer
