It helps a lot to have a degree in journalism and it'll open a lot of doors. I want to be a journalist as well and I've wanted to go to college for it about as long. But if you are hell bent on not getting a degree I'm sure you can find somewhere to take you without one, but those places are few and far between.

I can see why you dont' want to go to college but you can't get a journalism job without it. It's very competitive. What are you going to do, just show up and say,"here I am; let me be a journalist". Success takes hard work and determination and a college education. If you cant' express yourself properly on Yahoo answers (look at your spelling/writing) then how are you going to do it on a network. You need to get real.

no but be prepared to do alot of freelance and field work and opening your own doors.as well as financing your own work until you are picked up by someone impressed with your talent but a degree on paper always helps more look into what grants that u qualify for.the DEMs will be in office again soon so that means breaks for education and medical.

No

It does make it easier to find a job doing this sort of work.

If you don't have a good grasp of English, you are doomed as far as trying to be a journalist, a spell/grammar checker will only carry you so far.

Judging from your spelling, yes. College (not collage) would help you for certain (not certait). Try the art instead of journalism.

YES, because you need to know how to spell to be one. "COLLEGE" courses in journalism are very helpful for getting a job worth having.
