Why is it that often when a black or hispanic speak proper english and dresses professionally?

Why is it they are accused of trying to be white?

What kind of "ghetto a-s-s" mindset is that?

There has been such a long history of white people forcing members of other races and cultures to assimate into their own that sometimes members of non-white races get nervous [offended] when they see a member of their own race "willingly assimilate" and abandon features [sometimes stereotypes] of their race, [i.e. accents, traditional clothing, hairstyles etc.]

Its not right, but its the way it is.

I understand completely. Its a negative stereotype that society has planted in our minds. Its a shame that people especially minorities really believe that. The society here in america tries to label everything into cultural groups instead of acknowledging it as a whole. Not all white people can speak proper english, not all white people are smart, not all white people dress proessionally. when it comes to the word ghetto i have met ghetto asians, blacks, whites, hispanics, indians, all types of people. I think when people start to realize these facts they will be open to change and not be so limited becuz of what their race says is white and black.
