The answer to your ?... Is the left embarrassed their party leadership consists of old ,white, filthy rich people? I almost forgot.....your longest tenured lawmaker was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Its unbelievable how individuals allow some things but criticize others for the same exact things.

I believe most people of color who run under the republican ticket have been labeled "Uncle Tom's" by the liberal bloggers of the democratic party. Alan Keyes ran on the republican ticket in '02 and got cremated by the black democratic caucus. Shouldn't they have been proud to have such an intelligent, well spoken and respected representative of their ethnicity running for president?

They had a lot of minority canidates in the 2006 election, but they didn't fair too well.
