I have recently tried installing internet explorer 7 but it failed for some random reason. Ever since, I have been unable to click favourites on the menu bar at the top, i.e. in between View and Tools.

I can get to the favourites via the links button to the right of the address bar and the favourites icon near home and refresh and stuff.

I wouldn't complain but its how I always get to my favs... plus when I do click it... that error comes up... you know the one when it says 'Send error report' and 'don't send' then whatever button I press... the window closes.

Any help?

You say the installation failed. Maybe it left behind something. I know that with IE7 File>Edit>View...... is not there as you normally used it. There is a tweak to put it back however. I would try to uninstall IE7. It should be in Start>Control Panel>Add and Remove Programs. Click the box at the top to show updates. If it shows up click on it to uninstall it. Don't worry IE6 will return. If it does not show up run a registry cleaner. I have XP so I use.

Download RegScrubXP--http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2048

Safely cleans junk out of the Windows 2000/XP system registry. All changes made to the registry are fully restorable to it's original condition. You can make an exclusion list of registry entries that RegScrubXP will not display as problems. You can sift through a list of file extensions, company names, run upon startup programs, Internet Explorer history, and uninstall programs to delete what you think is junk.

You should then be able to download and install IE7 from Microsoft. I do recommend you get it straight from Microsoft.
