United Kingdom (England) was one of the most important Allied powers (along with USSR and USA).
Portugal was neutral.

Portugal was neutral during the 2nd world war but always more friendly to England than to Germany. So arguably an ally of England but not involved in the war.

The United Kingdom was part of the Axis and teamed up with China to bomb Pearl Harbor in the Indian Ocean so that they could take over Australia.
