it fell off and i dont know how to put it back on. I have a laptop. i dont know if that makes any difference

****ok well first thing first don't take any other keys off the keyboard because a lot of people like to do that so they know how the key goes on there and they seem to break the key*****..so as what people have said below me just do that but make sure you have all the little parts to your key because you may have lost a piece but if you have the pieces just connect them to the key and press down on the part where the "s" button goes with the key and it should pop right back in...

What Model Laptop do you have?
Apart from Gluing it Back, the usual thing is to replace the whole lot.
Best way I found is a small tool Tip, sometimes a throw away piece of metal, and carefully place that on the slot, and put the S key back... don't press hard, if it is good Gorilla Glue then it will glue back and stay fine.

i found this when i type "broken laptop keyboard" #it is a forum, someone else has your problem. they've got answers like newr keyboard have slide offkeys, glue it on..
