help with uploading a website please?

hi, i'm on a mac and am using cyberduck for my ftp client. i've placed my .html text into the public folder but it's not appearing.

any help please, thanks in advance

i am not sure exacelly what you are asking, but my best guess it to rename your text file to 'index.html'

On most sites, the public folder is for sharing ftp files. There's usually a www or html folder where your web pages are supposed to go. Also, you need to name your default page index.html, or else modify your .htaccess.
