Well, in this day and age I feel it is impractical to give up your "riches" and follow the Lord, unless you plan on being a monk or nun and then it may be wise...
As for being a couch potato and watching Maury, I wouldn't do that either, Maury doesn't have all the answers...
How about a good mix of both...
Perhaps be a good minded person who may watch TV for entertainment value, and then walk a good life to please the Lord as well...
That's exactly what I try to do with my life...

Baby, you don't need to give up all your "riches" to follow Jesus now-a-days! Just be at peace with Jesus in your heart while you watch "Maury". :-)
