Green meaning hybrid or electric. Not ethanol, its a farce.

Car or small SUV is fine. I favor a sports suspension so SUV's with "squashy" shocks and handling freak me out.

To be quite honest you are asking for alot from a vehicle to be all wheel drive full time and to be under that price range.Yes the Subaru is that but I can not stand them things either. They are ugly and pieces of Sh-t!
Acura Makes a vehicle that is all of these things that you ask except it is a SUV. Its called the MDX and It has the option to switch from 4 wheel drive to front wheel drive, which in my opinion is much better than full time all wheel drive. You see, the full time 4 wheel drive vehicles suffer more drive train damage and are much higher maintenance costs for the owner. Also the engines in them take a much greater beating from constantly having to pull 4 full time engaged axle's.Transmissions suffer from this abuse as well.So unless you live up in the Yukon.I don't see a real need or benefit to having all wheel drive.
The MDX has a decent range in prices depending on options that you get and the 2007 model comes standard with front heated seats and optional rear heated seats as well.Go check them out. They are very high rated on safety and a great reliability. Also it comes stock with 4 wheel ABS brake system.
And yes, I do believe Iris Green is one of the exterior color options!

the answer is the subaru, as much as you dont want to hear it. theyre great cars, and overall very reliable. my 05 STi has been great! they are very safe, perform well, and my 300 hp sti gets like 28 on the highway. not half bad eh?

i dont know if we get them here in the states, but audi sells quite a few diesels in europe for all of their cars, which are also available in quattro.

i think you can also get the passat in TDi 4motion form.
