You may have to do a seem edit on your phone to have the apply as ringtone option. If you select a downloaded ringtone(highlighted) and click the options button and do NOT have the option "apply as ringtone" you should check out and search the forums at www.motox.info and www.motomodders.net to find out how to allow the option

If you wants to assign the ringtone to the different contacts in your phone book. You must save the name to the phone not the sim card.
The sim card holds only names and numbers. The phone holds names, numbers, pictures and you can assign ringtones.

You push the right arrow in the directional pad thingy in the middle. Then go down to detail and push the right soft key(top right corner button) and then u can assign it.
