It's about purpose in life. How can I make this reader enjoyable and at the same time be honest without selfdiclosing more than the absolutely necessary?

Perhaps you could think of two or three people you greatly admire and determine what they have in common as far as goals and purpose - - unless you must give personal examples (I'm not clear on the specifics). You might find a quote to use from"The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren.

first start with an anecdote. then state your thesis and go into it a bit. add a lot of personal examples and in your conclusion somehow refer back to the anecdote.
