I think you only need a passport to fly. However, I think that eventually everyone will need one to travel anywhere outside the country. Time to get yours! In most every countries everyone has a passport anyway, so it shouldn't be a big deal for us.

Agree, you can not start making exceptions just because it is right across the border. The same logic would apply to many Canadian cities also.

I don't know if you need one to go to Tijuana, but I do know you need one to come back to the US.
