I don't let others affect my life. When you put God first, others second and yourself third, you learn to turn the other cheek, forgive, and let no one offend you. If your brother takes your coat, give him your hat also. If anyone asked for a mile of your help, then give him two miles of help. Make sure your materialistic things are considered just that. Make sure you do not learn to love money. When you put God first, everything else falls into line.

Great question... First I think it is most crucial to understand the fact that YOU are the only one who can determine the attitude you express to other people.
So often we blame others actions or attitudes for our own bad moods. If someone rubs you the wrong way, that is their problem not yours.
Yeah, I know it is easier said than done, but we have millions of different options when we choose our actions at any moment.
I deal with this some in my career. I must pick up the cooks who are down because they don't like the comments they hear in the restaurants or the requests of the owners of the business. They don't like the work load and don't like all of the compromises based on their own "tastes". But we all must persevere and do our best.

humans need other humans to survive. Their opinions although hurtful at times make us the people we become.
