around you fills you with panic and anxiety? i live in a block of flats/ apartment, and every noise, bang, drill, noise of youths shouting, outside, car engines reving up, fills me with dread and anxiety. it gets me angry and i wish it would go away. im filling in diary sheets at the moment for noise nuisance from a youth underneath me that blasts music out..my mum said to day all the other noises are everyday noises and that its life....i cant work right now cos im dealing with psychiatric probls, so i cant work in preperation to find somewhere else to live...but i do realise i need to deal with this problem. can anyone help or has anyone felt like this?

I have had my anxiety hit that level. I have been diagnosed with PTSD, which makes me sensitive to noise anyway. But when my major depression comes into play I can't deal with any outside intrusions.
Do you have a therapist or a psych med doc?? If not, I would seriously consider getting at least a psych med doc.. this could change your life!

Now be the person making the noise, and apply fair judgement to your list.
If you had a job and a car, would you have the right to go out of the house at 8am and start the engine, to get to work and if someone upstairs accused of inciting them to anger, what then?

Are they decent people with the same problems as you or are they minding their own business, and working at different problems which they will overcome in their chosen way?
Either way, you don't figure in their lives and this you know, and that makes you angry, the spirit of paranoia invented ways of bringing them into your life.

MISERY HOUSES,AND PARENTS WHO,WELL,WHY DID THEY CHOSE TO LIVE IN SUCH PLACES,poor parents who have chosen to live in such places, one such place in McLean ave in yonkers nyc, a place of misery like you describe, and the slamming of doors, so the building shakes, your mum says "now it is quiet" but it does not help, the next noise,the next engine, find a rich chic and escape put your life and work on a back burner, and leave

think of this, it is not said to help, but there you have a city San Diego, there is a freeway, and there are beautiful houses, but the traffic is everywhere, everywhere,beautiful house by the ocean,and cars going by,
to live in these ;places is misery, how to work, or enjoy something, a book, television ect without use headphones that do not work, and cause hearing problems anyway, so there you have it mental illness and fustration, then comes envy and strife, as to who and where there is peace, and quiet, how to attain, anxiety, the misery of fear of never leaving such a place, and if leaving having to return, i am in such a place right now, everything goes backwards or wrong, higher rents for such dumps, i am sorry to speak of where you live as a dump, but no one wants to live near schools and transportation, yelling in the streets, people in bars at all hours, every car and truck sound

so what have i contributed to you for an answer, runaway, work is impossible, run away, seek asylum somewhere, become a tramp, and sleep under the trees and look at the stars when you wake up at night, i am going to do this again, my parents did not offer any hope about such places, as i write i hear shouting in the street, cars going by, and a constant headache, and loss of appetite, memory, and of course beauty and socialization, no one wants to come to visit,the constant idling of truck engines at a traffic light and then going through gears, how could parents be so crule and stupid to live in such places,,,, be glad that you can work, and accomplish something and perhaps leave,these are such places where day dreams cannot exist,
mum, has no answers,the fustration, how can mum not know where it is at, and she will say, she did her best,i feel for you,the mental problems do not go away,it is not wrong to feel this anxiety, but how it is dealt with, constant anger, fustrating, and demoralizing, you know that everyone who lives in such places feels like this, life seems like a crule joke,how to attain to something materially and physically better, the kid who blasts the stereo down stairs from you feels the same thing, he wants to shut the world out, and you cannot blame him, , in these places there must be a high use of drugs and alcohol, Break out, escape, leave your work and hopes behind, run away and seek life elsewhere, it is the only thing you can do, or become overwhelmed, maybe mum can move someplace better, but chances are she will not, and sit day after day until one day there is someone else a stranger asking to rent the apt, yes, it is the noises of life, but you know there is life elsewhere, and much better, i hope you find your way, you are not wrong about the anxiety and feelings of anger,as unpleasant as they are, the resentment and jealousy that may enter in at times, empathy, what good is it, i found no help, there is none, yoga another trap, why carry on a conversation where you have to shout,
if the money is good, where you work, but the pressure is not, the bad outweighs the good here,, if nothing can be good,do what you must and leave, no work in necessary, nothing is worth the effort, and if you are young, leave, maybe your mum can help you, send you things or whatever you need,

There are various methods out there, but I can't speak on any of the programs as I've never tried them. However, I have found success for my own problems with antidepressant/antianxiety medication. Stay away from alcohol or drugs though, they'll only make your problems much worse.

Anxiety is caused by many factors, heredity, brain chemistry,
personality, life experiences etc...but usually best treated with medication, if your a serious long time sufferer then most other methods, meditation, herbs ect won't help much. See a doctor at least.

I would get the Omega Man out to give me some blood to ease my disease, judging from your picture.

Seriously you need to look at your diet. That can be a big factor in issues like this.
