Somebody asked about skydiving a few days ago, and I'm going to tell you the same thing I told them.....
Skydiving has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have been skydiving since June of 2006. I went out and did a tandem, just felt like doing something crazy and wild for once, and I absolutely loved it!!!! So much that I became addicted. So I went back a couple of weeks later and did another jump, the first step towards my certification. I finished the certification class, and on this past Saturday I did my 32nd skydive. It is the most amazing experience ever.
I'm a 19 year old full time (16 hours) college student, I have 4 jobs, I pretty much work all week and then on the weekend I get to go to my sancuary..... my dropzone and go skydiving. I have spent close to 3500 so far on skydiving, classes, gear, etc and I don't regret a single penny. It is the best feeling in the world, having a tough week at work/ school, then being able to go ride up in a plane 14000 feet in the air, jump out, and have a blast with my friends!! It is how I clear my head.
A lot of people will tell you not to jump, that it is dangerous, but in reality the drive there is more dangerous than the jump. Think about it- you don't have a backup car, but you have a backup (reserve) parachute!
Imagine falling at the earth at 120 mph during freefall, then being able to float magically down to the ground under canopy. The freefall experience doesn't even feel like you're falling....it's just really windy and such.... make sure to take in the view because baby you're FLYING and you are seeing the world from an angle that very few people get to, and it is beautiful.
Skydiving has saved my life. Before I started skydiving I was in a very depressive state, weighed about 150 pounds, didn't want to deal with life anymore..... Now I love life, I love living, I love being able to jump out of an airplane after my boyfriend, I love sitting in my parachute and steering it towards the ground, I love school, I love work (it pays for my skydiving).... the amazing thing is I did a complete 180 after my first jump.... became the happiest person alive.... and since June I'm down from 150 to 132 pounds, without dietting (I actually eat faaaaaaaar more fast food, pizza, junk food, etc these days because I am on the road so much, and yet, still my same weight ). It's changed my life for the better, and I would reccommend it to anybody, no matter what age.
As for Skydive Space Center.... I have been there, a bunch of my skydiving buddies and I went to Orlando area for a few days, unfortunately the whole time we were there, we didn't get to jump because the weather was bad. The facilities are really nice, very clean, and the plane is pretty sweet (a King Air). All the staff is really friendly and there are skydivers there from all over the world.
I suggest checking out some of these reviews:

After you make your first jump, you should go play in the windtunnel for a little while (indoor skydiving). We call this skydiver's crack.

Carpe diem - have a blast
You will want to kiss the ground when you get down. How crazy is that, jump out of a perfectly good plane and enjoy the killer rush of living through it.
My first jump was at a place we had no static line and we had to hand over hand out onto the strut then drop. No static line means pull your own cord, beginners don't always do this. We were supposed to count 1-one thousand 2 one thousand 3 one thousand reach one thousand pull one thousand. I counted 1-one thousand 2 one thousand sh*t one thousand. Everyone was laughing thier butts off at me after cause I was the only newbie
