A couple things, did you do a upgrade because if you did, there's a lot of bugs that Media player needs to work out. You may have to downgrade your player. Next, if you have DSL and have your media player running and it's not playing anything, you might want to close out your media player and disconnect from the internet for about a few minutes. Reconnect and open up your media player. If that gets your media to play then you're good to go. If not, then you may have to uninstall and reinstall your media player. Sometimes files get corrupted in a program where you have to uninstall and reinstall it in order for it to do what it's suppose to do.

Just download ac3 codecs into your computer, this will fix the streaming problems. The software is a freeware, type it in google "ac3".
