Is there any way to do it? It would be nice to use my freinds playlists.

As the guy above me said, you can change an ipod setting to sync manually. By doing this however, you have to manually drag the songs to your ipod.

However, the guy above me is wrong about 1 thing.
There is no maximum to how many computers you can get your songs from.

you can if you convert it to manual update, but Ipods are created to sync to one computer, once you take it off of manual update the music will be lost, because it is not in your library. You can not sync ipods to multiple computers they were not made to do this (how would apple make money off of the songs if everyone could just sync their ipod to any computer, also there is the copyright thing).

Have your friend create a data disc (holds way more music then regular CD's) with the music that you want on your ipod then add it to your computer and sync the music to your ipod.

If your friend has purchased music on the disc that he/she creates he/she will need to authorize your computer to play those songs. The way to do this is to double click on a song (to play it) that was purchased and the apple screen to login will popup saying this computer is not authorized to play .... your friend will then put in his/her user id and password for the apple store. This is where the whole authorization thing comes into play, you can authorize up to 5 computers to play your music store purchases.

sorry this was so long, hope it helps

yes, you could change the preferences to manually mange my music in your ipod preferences, this i just learned in the morning, so this way you just choose what music you want, and i think you can have your ipod sincronize with 7 different computers
One thing is needed, that all the computers have the same operative system (windows or mac operative system)

I just came across a site that sends you an iPod for free! I'm ordering mine right now, going for the black one :)
