overrated- david beckham, frank lampard, ashley cole, rio ferdinand, michael ballack, pierre van hoijdonk (remember him?), emile heskey- back in the days when he was regularly picked for england by sven goran/moron eriksson, juan sebastien veron
underrated- paul scholes, steve mcmanaman, kolo toure, kevin nolan, ray parlour (when he was at arsenal), lucus radebe, ole gunnar solskjaer, danny murphy, andy cole (how he'd never managed to get as many england call ups is bewildering), gareth barry

Those who've said Rooney is over-rated - wash your mouths out!
I bet you're the same people who were calling Ronaldo a cheat -wrongly - when Rooney was sent off, and are now singing his praises; short memories.
I am 59 year old, and Rooney is the best English player I have ever seen already. He has everything, but most importantly skill and touch, brain and vision. I am worried that he might still go wrong, with his temper, but he has just had a slight blip by his own standards.
Lucas Neill seems to have been over-rated by West Ham if they are paying him £70,000 per week. Whyyyyy????
