whilst i became in Korea i became traveling in an extremely small village that infrequently observed individuals. i became the only woman recent and the host presented us with a large meal of classic Korean foodstuff. between the dishes became steamed snails. no longer escargo, purely undeniable previous on a daily basis steamed, unseasoned snails. I jokingly pointed to a minimum of one and appeared on the guy next to me and reported, "Ummmm! SNAILS! YUMMY!". The host appeared up and reported, "oh no. women folk no consume those". properly, my irish temper have been given the better of me so I grabbed a bad snail and popped it in my mouth. DISGUSTING! I ate it even though it became difficult to choke down. whilst i ended the host became guffawing at me and reported, "women folk no consume. is for MALE stamina". YIKES! communicate approximately embarrassing! Lesson discovered there.

I hate liver. Maybe it was just the way they cooked it at school then forced it on us, but it was like eating shoe leather.
Can't face it now, even 30 years later, although I do like pate made from liver.
