I love when I hear all these people say "are you having kids"

Well I'll tell you all this:

1. firstly, mind your damn business
2. is your life so boring you worry about others lives
3. will you pay all my bills once the kid arrives
4. stop pretending kids will "make you happy" this simply isn't true at all.
5. don't preach to people about what to do with their lives.
6. misery loves company right?

thanks folks for some good responses.

my hubby and i have been married 13 yrs with no kids, never had them and right now we are at the point where its fine. we accept it. we get asked all the time why havent yall had kids? you know to each their own whatever makes you happy. there are benefits to this. while my other friends need babysitters and things like that. he and i can pack up go where we want, do what we want. dont have to pay money for a sitter, we can run around naked in our house if we want lol and never have to worry bout being home at a certain time. and the best part is sleeping in on weekends:)

Yes it is ok to not have kids. But it is unusual. And when you dont have kids people will automatically think that you or your spouse have plumbing problems, if you get my drift.
Just make sure that your spouse REALLY doesn't want kids. Because maybe he/she has changed their mind or has always secretly planned on having a kid. Talk.
Having a child is making a person that is half you and half your spouse. It is what really bonds you for life and connects you. I plan to have kids a few years after I get married because I want that bond. At least to have 1 kid that makes me feel more connected to my fiance.

You obviously didn't get this advise from your parents... ;)

Marriage is a companionship and partnership, if both like it that way (no kids) then great. Others are not in your shoes and walking your walk, be true to each other and forget what others want you to do. But a little respect for their choice in their marriage is good to.

Sure it's fine! You don't need to have kids to be happy.
Plenty of people are married and don't have kids and are perfectly happy!

If people keep asking when are you going to have kids, just tell them you'll have them when you're good and ready to, and to mind their own business. You don't have to be nice about it, either. People who ask intrusive questions like that don't deserve it.

Yes!!! - I think marriage without kids is perfectly fine. I know that I'm never having kids and I always get "Oh I'm sure you'll have kids one day" or "I bet in 10 years you'll have kids". I HATE that!
