No, I think they just have their appearance. Think of Mystique. She can only change her outward appearance but doesn't gain the power of the person she imitates. If a mutant was able to do that, no one could stop them.

Most metamorphs do not contain the powers and special attributes of the people the change into, but there are oddities when it comes to this type of power.

Mystique and Morph can only change their outer appearances to look like other people or objects more or less as a form of camouflage, however Morph has displayed the ability to malleably change his shape in order to attack enemies not unlike Mr. Fantastic.

Characters like Husk and Lifeguard are different in that they change their appearance to adapt to the situation at hand (i.e. growing gills to breath underwater, diamond hard skin, etc.). They do not change into other people or objects per se but their transformations do give them different attributes.

Mimic and Rogue are the only characters (at least in the Marvel Universe) that are capable of duplicating the powers and abilities of other superheroes. Neither of them actually change their outward appearance unless the ability or attributes of the person copied from dictate this (i.e. wings from Angel, claws from Wolverine, metallic skin from Colossus). However, Mimic might not count since he isn't a mutant.

Crimson is correct. Morph could only physically change into the other mutant, not gain their mutant powers.
In fact, he could change himself into anything - object, animal, or person.
