If you do not watch some C-Span then you have no sense of what is going on except the little (slanted news) you read in print or watch on your ABC, CBS or Fox channel. Everyone should have to watch our government at work before voting. I hear many people say I am not voting for him or her because he she looks funny or I saw or heard this or that on T.V. but they only say I will vote for him or her because I like him or her. LIKE has nothing to do with what a politician will or has voted for.

I have been watching C-Span for over 9 years now and have learned so much more about our government, our senators and representatives , what they think what they vote on, why they vote on items. You are so right, we all need to watch C-Span to see just who is it we are putting in Washington who is suppose to represent what we, the Americans who put them there - are they working for our interest or theirs. In these confused, disconjointed times, we, the American people better what what is going on and why, and be very sure our voices are heard.

I will usually watch because I love to hear people speak, and when politicians give speeched I kinda have an interest in hearing even if I won't agree with what they say. i agree with you, it is a good way of being informed of things in politics.

I like Book-TV. I used to care about politics, but frankly...both sides are wrong about 70% of the time, so I gave up. I agree, all the cable news and local news are slanted, jaded, and just plain vicious. PBS is okay.
