You don't have to change countries just your State could be enough.
If your situation is as uncomfortable as you say, I can only suggest you move to a more quieter small town setting. I moved from the city myself to a small town and got a job right away. There are even ways you can work out a moving allowance should that happen.
Research your options, but do it before fear gets the better of you.
You know it or you would not have said it, so TAKE ACTION.

There are problems everywhere you go. Try moving to a rural area of the U.S. since you hate the traffic and noise. I moved to Missouri from Seattle. The people here are so much friendlier and in a better mood. I also have a friend who moved here (in a round about way) from Brooklyn and loves it. He has horses, his OWN home, property, and lots of friends. A change of scenery/perspective is always refreshing. Maybe all you need is a vacation.

There is an old saying, "Where ever you go, you take yourself with you."

Why dont you just move?

Move to a country town, Galvaston, or Portland. How about New Hampshire?

I lived in a poor neighbourhood in an inner city. Shootings, bashings, suicides.
Then I just moved. Best thing I ever did. 20 years ago now, never looked back.

I am old or up in my years and well traveled. There is no other country on the earth as free as the united states.Even as bad as it may seem we Americans are allowed an immense amount of liberties. If you are not satisfied with where you are,you can relocate to another area and find your self in what appears to be another country, yet still in the good ol USA
