What do I do if a business I worked for closed....?

and now I need my W2 to do my taxes but I can't get a hold of them. I should get money back, wilI I have to file without it, and can I even do that?

Your state's corporation affairs, or corporation commission, or even the state treasurer or country treasurer that they did business in should be your first contact. Give them the name of the company and where they did business. They will be able to tell you who has current responsibility for records so you can get your w2's
