As an Over the road truck driver there aren't too many places I have not seen. Coeur d' Alene Idaho took my breath away one evening 20 years ago and I always had thought it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen. I came up on the lake there going west on Interstate 90 one evening in 1984 during a full moon and I almost cried it was SO beautiful there. I forgot the name of that place for years until 5 years ago I got to go back out there with a load going to Seattle and low and behold the full moon was out again when I got there so I now know where it is. BUT after years of traveling the highways on 18 wheels I came to realize I could never go anywhere west of the Mississippi because all the trees stay green year round (pines) or the mountains have no trees at all (like Arizona) or it is flat (Kansas). So after driving in and out of West Virginia nearly every weekend just to look around I think up near Hinton West VA is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. There is a mountain there with a 12 percent grade on it and at the top it is like heaven to me. Guess from a country girl it might sound corny, but I love the trees and mountains and creeks and snow.
