The eye can see hundreds of thousands o miles, or even further. Just look at the stars in the sky at night , how far are they away from your eye?

Well, the Sun is our nearest star, and that's 93,000,000 miles away. However, a human eye can pick out a very bright light source the size of a pinprick from a mile away - which is truly impressive, don't you think?

your eye can see thousands of light years away. just look up at night. you can see the stars. some of them are too far away to even comprehend. a thousand light years is like a million million million million million million miles
