Change Oil and Oil Filter.
Check Coolant Level, Washer Bottle Water, Brake Fluid, Clutch Fluid (if applicablel) Auto Transmission Fluid, (Not Manual).
Check Fan/Alternator Belt tension.
Check wipers, operation and condition of blades.
Check operation of Lights, Indicators, Horn etc.
The Major service will add check adjust Brakes and Change Spark Plugs (Petrol), change the Air Filter, Fuel Filter if applicable etc
The Problem is the time related items, no one ever changes brake fluid, despite it being a service item on most schedules, as it wrecks the Master cylinder seals bleeding the brakes, and the CAM BELT, which 90% of cars use these days, with anything from 24 Months to 100 000 miles change intervals. If your car is approaching either the mileage or time since its last change ASK The Garage To Change It, otherwise if you dont use the same Main Agent for every service it wont get changed and will break and wreck your engine.
