To all the mothers out there: In the early stages of pregnancy, did you feel light cramping and fluttering? I am about 5 days late with my period, and I have been feeling this for the last few days.

Also, is there a certain time of day that is best when using a hpt? (i.e. early in the morning??)

(I am posting this again because I didn't get many answers last time).

Use the test in the morning right when you get up, it will be the most accurate. I just felt light cramping. Im not sure what the fluttering is. I still have light "period like" cramping and i'm almost 8 weeks. The dr. says its normal. Its your ligiments stretching and your uterus as well. So some light cramping is normal.......good luck and congrats.

Cramping a definite.

Mild, period like cramping is totally normal.

First morning urine (FMU) is best when you are in the earliest days...usually before a missed period or right around it. Most women at 5 days late can use any pee and get a positive. But not all! So if you still think you are pregnant, try FMU! And if you still don't have your period this month, see a doctor for a blood test!

When you go and take an HPT, make sure you take it with your first pee of the day thats very important.
