I have about 12 credits I need to re-take. So, let's say I haven't taken those classes yet, and I've earnd 120 credit by the Spring 2009 semester. I HAVE to still complete those failed classes (12 credits worth) before I can GRADUATE???

So, in other words, my credits will stay the same at 120, even AFTER I take those repeated courses?????

It depends on if the classes that you failed are part of your major. If they are the I say Yes you do. You should talk to your adviser thought.

It really depends on the University you are attending, and this is a question for your adviser.

However, universities don't give you credit for classes you have failed, so if the courses you have to re-take are because you failed, then chances are you don't have credit for them counting towards your 120 right now.

However, if they're courses you passed long ago, chances are you won't get credit for them if they're counting towards your 120 credits.

you only need to retake those 12 credits if they fall into 1 of 2 categories:
1. they are necessary to complete a core requirement or prerequisite
OR
2. they are mandatory for you to earn your degree from your department each department at every school has a different policy...you need to meet a certain criteria with your credits, not just amass enough to graduate...
