Well lets see. Black history isn't being taught in school any longer, until you reach college level. Even then it is still an elective. Black history month is to remember the great leaders and the people who had to endure great hardships that fought so that we could have equality. Would it upset you if they only taught what you considered history just one month of the year. Please be more mindful of your questions. Look at it both ways.

No, if it offends people, than that's pretty racist. It's not like saying we black people are the best, it's just honoring surving the many years we were treated bad, and unfairly. I wouldn't mind months honoring other races, so what's the problem again? I'm thankful for the people who faught for us, I don't really celebrate it though, but it's a positive thing. I'm more focused on Valentine's day.

years of oppression, discrimination, and hardcore racism, and the ability to overcome and still have a sense of identity and want to celebrate it and thats racist? if your so jealous why dont your people celebrate your accomplishments (praising the rich for getting richer)

I must agree with 2 cents, most people here lack the basic understanding of racism.
