At 3:00 AM EST on March 24th, 1984. It caused a flurry of legal activity between the Colts & the city of Baltimore until both sides reached an agreement in March 1986 in which all lawsuits regarding the Colts move to Indianapolis was dismissed & that the Colts would endorse a new NFL team for the city of Baltimore. Ten years later, Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell moved his team to Baltimore as a expansion team leaving the name, colors, & team history of the Browns in Cleveland, in which they returned later in 1999 as a reactivated team, & became the Baltimore Ravens after a fan vote.
