The US has been despised for decades. Think Clinton was loved? Look at the protests when he went to Greece and to Chile. Reagan? They burned him in effigy in Germany and Korea.
The US is reviled in many places, merely because it is the only superpower. No other country, nor group of countries has the economic nor military strength to challenge the US. That scares a lot of people.
However, no matter how many polls say how despised we are, the waiting list in every country in the world to get a working Visa in the US is huge. Millions yearn to move here.

why do you care. I bet if you asked these uneducated, third world, poverty stricken folks how many of you wish you lived in the USA; 65% of em would say "me, me, me, me" . Anyway, I put little stock in what the biased news media says about anything. Even if its true I Don't give a flying rat turd.

Since Bush is our president, we have to be supportive of what he does and just hope he and the government our doing the best they can. We can't really worry about what others think of us but it's good to be aware.

exactly... we had the world gathered around us after september 11 because a country or two had struck us. now, in fixating on those countries, we forgot how many friends we had. almost like a junky or something.

i wasn't afraid of iran and iraq before we invaded... now that we are stuck and friendless, continuing to give the world the finger might not be the best plan.
