How do I remove the hardrive from a laptop?

The laptop does not work anymore and I would like to transfer the files to a different computter

Flip the laptop over. Check your manual but the hard drive should be located inside a panel that is held by screws to the bottom of your hard drive. These panels are often labelled. Expose the hard drive and check for any mounting screws. Carefully detach any cable and remove the hard drive.

If you want to transfer the info to a desktop computer you will need an adapter cable like this on to attach the drive to a desktop
