My mom's a nurse and she carries malpractice coverage for this reason. To the person who said they only follow orders-they are the ones giving the drugs and monitering care, so it isn't an out.

You can only sue the attending physician or the hospital, or the doctor's group.
A nurse and a PA only follow instructions . They never make their own calls. That's the doctor's job.

1-Lawyers fees
2-Money lost for not going to work
3-Years of litigation.
4-Money to hire a new Lawyer(You still have to pay the old one)
