Direct flights are provided from Montreal to Chicago by Air Canada, American and United. Continental, Delta, Northwest and US Airways also provide connecting flights between Montreal and Chicago.

By train, you can take Amtrak's Adirondack train (number 68) from Montreal to Schenectady NY, then change to the Lakeshore Limited train (number 49) to Chicago.

By Greyhound, you can make a trip from Montreal to Chicago making two changes in Ottawa and Toronto.

By road, you need about 14 hours to make the trip. You have to get out heading west on Route 20 which should become route 401 once you enter Ontario. You drive on this road toward Toronto and continue onward until you reach London. From there, you should turn to route 402 toward Sarnia and then cross the US border. In the US, you should take route 69 toward Flint, Lansing and Battle Creek. Once you come close to Battle Creek you turn west to route 94 toward Lake Michigan which should take you all the way to Chicago.
