Blockbuster will sometimes make computer generated phone calls for items that are past due. However, have any of you ever had the recording mention your name and address? I recently moved, and received a call concerning a past due movie, but it was the name and address of someone else? I'm assuming it was the person who used to have my current phone number. However, I've never heard these recordings list full name and address before when I've gotten calls in the past. Is this something new?

Also, this was for an item that was not returned on time, not a collection call for a closed account.

Yes I have had it happen. At my old address, they stated my name and street address only. I thought it wierd at the time. I'm not sure if they still do it or not.

Change your number or file a report with your phone company. They will give you your options. They deal with stuff like all the time.

Mya,
No that has never happened to me, but I have never been late on returning a movie.
