Well, a digital camera does work but it all depends on how long the movies are. Webcams are also a good way to record things. The question again is how long your books are. You can find some pretty good inexpensive webcams that records in mpg or mpeg formats off of Ebay. Web cams comes with a CD that allows you to download programs that have a video feature. My digital camera has this as well. Also you can also find an inexpensive digital camera off of Ebay. I have one that records but it doesn't have a microphone. It only cost me about $60. That's because of the S&H. Anytime you want something electrical Ebay is a good place as far as affordability is concerned. If you're good at bidding on items and winning them at the last minute then this shouldn't be a problem.

It depends on the quality you want. You can do it from a camera phone and use the USB to download the file into your computer. Then you can burn the file onto a CD or DVD. You also might be able to rent or borrrow a digital camera.

A cheap method would be to buy a cheap webcam (about $30) and record directly on to the computer. A camcorder is a more costly alternative than a webcam, but the quality will be superb compared to a webcam.
